I am a journalist at the University of Colorado studying global media and its role in education. My global outlook and research, writing and broadcasting skills developed from a range of experiences:
- Working as a teaching assistant in an upper-division global media course
- Interning at New Hope Natural Media and the Women's News Network
- Receiving a research grant for on-site study of community radio in India
- Working at the United Nations, New York as a delegate for an Indian non-governmental organization focused on empowerment, education and health for marginalized communities
- Working as research assistant for two professors supporting their international projects on ethnic issues in the Caucuses and the role of community radio in developing countries
- Traveling through India, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, England
- Completing a variety of assignments in global media courses such as Reporting War and Disasters, International Media, Citizen Journalism, Multi-Media Journalism
- Graduating from high school in Sydney, Australia
