I am a journalist at the University of Colorado studying global media and its role in education.  My global outlook and research, writing and broadcasting skills developed from a range of experiences:

  • Working as a teaching assistant in an upper-division global media course

  • Interning at New Hope Natural Media and the Women's News Network

  • Receiving a research grant for on-site study of community radio in India 

  • Working at the United Nations, New York as a delegate for an Indian non-governmental organization focused on empowerment, education and health for marginalized communities  

  • Working as research assistant for two professors supporting their international projects on ethnic issues in the Caucuses and the role of community radio in developing countries   

  • Traveling through India, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, England

  • Completing a variety of assignments in global media courses such as Reporting War and Disasters, International Media, Citizen Journalism, Multi-Media Journalism
 
  • Graduating from high school in Sydney, Australia
